Pedestrian Hit Chicago Georgia in Chicago, Georgia: A 62-year-old woman was struck by a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus making a left turn while she was crossing a street in downtown Chicago. She was treated and released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital but died 14 days later from complications of contusions and abrasions sustained in the collision. The estate agreed to a $2 million settlement with the CTA and its driver.
