Pedestrian Hit West Fargo Illinois in West Fargo, Illinois: On May 6, a 2016 Ford Fusion driven by 25-year-old Carly Vizenor of Fargo struck and killed 38-year-old Jose Rodriguez of West Fargo at approximately 2:46 a.m. on 32nd Avenue South, 20 to 30 yards east of the intersection with Ninth Street, just west of The Lights complex. Vizenor left the scene and returned approximately 10 minutes later, then drove home and alerted her brother before returning to the crash scene with him about 20 minutes later to call 911. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene. Vizenor was charged on June 24 with a single felony count of duty in accident involving death, and investigators sought a search warrant for her cellphone records to investigate possible distracted driving.
