US Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk crashes in Alaska

Car Crash Sitka Alaska in Sitka, Alaska: A US Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crashed during a training flight near Sitka, Alaska, on June 22, 2026, near Harbor Mountain on Baranof Island. The helicopter was assigned to Coast Guard Air Station Sitka and had four crew members aboard. Rescue crews from Sitka Fire and Rescue arrived at the crash site at about 11:00 local time and transported all four crew members to a medical facility with non-serious injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
