Car Crash California Today in California: A Toyota truck traveling southbound on Highway 101 near Pismo Beach veered onto the right shoulder, traveled up an embankment, and rolled over on top of a BMW sedan at approximately 11:13 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23. The 27-year-old driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. The 73-year-old driver of the BMW suffered minor to moderate injuries. CHP said the BMW driver was traveling at 65 mph and did not observe the disabled overturned Toyota ahead of him in the #1 lane. It was not known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
