Car Crash Tennessee Today in Tennessee: A 2021 Ford Expedition from Indiana was driving north on State Route 8 (Highway 111) on Cagle Mountain in Sequatchie County, Tennessee, on Friday, June 19, just after 2:00 p.m. CT, when it crossed the center line and struck a 2017 Mack tractor-trailer from Tennessee. After the impact, the tractor-trailer went off the roadway and struck a utility pole near the Cagle Mountain Trading Post, causing a power outage. Two of the five Indiana occupants of the Ford — a 69-year-old woman and a 6-year-old child — died, while a 42-year-old woman and two children ages 6 and 9 were injured; the 56-year-old tractor-trailer driver was also injured. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating, with no pending charges reported.
