Car Crash California Today in California: Paloma Foster, a UC Berkeley student and mother, died in a solo car crash on eastbound Interstate 580 near the San Quentin off-ramp in Marin County around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday. The California Highway Patrol responded to the single-vehicle crash. Friends, family and classmates gathered at UC Berkeley on Tuesday for a vigil in her honor, and the university plans to award her degree posthumously.
