Two Airlifted Following Head-On Crash in Brookings County
Car Crash Brookings South Dakota in Brookings, South Dakota: A head-on collision between a Volkswagen Tiguan and a Honda Civic occurred on Highway 30 near 483rd Avenue in Brookings County shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23. Two juveniles from Huron, South Dakota, who were occupants of the Honda Civic, were airlifted by medical helicopter to Sioux Falls for treatment of unknown injuries. The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen — an adult and a juvenile from Ivanhoe, Minnesota — were transported to Hendricks (Minnesota) Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The Brookings County Sheriff's Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, White Fire Department, White Ambulance, Brookings Ambulance, and South Dakota Department of Transportation responded.
