Dui Crash Stillwater Oklahoma in Stillwater, Oklahoma: On July 6, 2025, at 7:25 a.m. on US Highway 177 north of Stillwater, Oklahoma, about one-quarter mile south of Lone Chimney Road, Charles Mary Cooper, 43, of Perry, was driving a white 2006 Chevrolet 3500 flatbed truck northbound while under the influence of illegal drugs. The truck crossed the centerline and struck the front driver's side of a southbound white 2018 Ford Escape operated by Megan Carter, tearing the flatbed from the truck's frame. Megan Carter was partially ejected and sustained severe injuries; she was transported to St John Medical Center in Tulsa in critical condition and died three weeks later on November (date not specified). The Chevrolet 3500 continued northbound and struck a southbound 2025 Chevrolet 2500 operated by Jesus Hernandez Alvaredo head-on; Alvaredo sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. Cooper was charged with first-degree manslaughter and jailed on $250,000 bond pending a July 6 court appearance.
