Vehicle Fire Glenfield North Dakota in Glenfield, North Dakota: On June 21, 2026, two men died of smoke inhalation after a mattress fire in a Great Northern Railway bunkhouse at Glenfield, North Dakota, in Foster County. The fire was caused when a cigarette ignited a mattress sometime Sunday morning. The victims were Kenneth Stratton, 23, of Wichita, Kansas, and Milton Mayer, 26, of Underwood, North Dakota. The Foster County coroner investigated the deaths.
