Dog Bite Ithaca New York in Ithaca, New York: On June 13, a 62-year-old woman was bitten in the stomach by a pit bull outside Wegmans in Ithaca, N.Y. Ira McKinley pulled the dog off the woman and held and comforted her while waiting for first responders. After EMTs and police arrived, McKinley began yelling at bystanders and police, and was asked to leave. He allegedly became confrontational, and Wegmans security asked police to arrest him for trespassing. McKinley was jailed for about two and a half hours and later pleaded not guilty in Ithaca City Court.
