Shooting Lynchburg Virginia in Lynchburg, Virginia: On June 22, 2026, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Lynchburg Police Department officers found an 18-year-old adult man with a gunshot wound at 2315 Yorktown Avenue, Meadows Apartments, in Lynchburg, Virginia. The shooting followed multiple early-morning calls about large gatherings of 60 to 200 people playing loud music in the apartment complex parking lot on both June 21 and June 22. The victim was transported to UVA Medical for treatment of serious injuries, and officers recovered multiple cartridge casings from the scene.
