Shooting Stockton California in Stockton, California: A San Joaquin County sheriff's deputy shot and injured a driver during a traffic stop in Stockton on Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m. Deputies responded to a disturbance call near Moon Avenue, then conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be involved at the intersection of Wisconsin and Michigan avenues. When deputies contacted the driver, the sole occupant, a deputy allegedly observed the person in possession of what appeared to be a firearm and fired, striking the person. The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
