Car Crash California Today in California: A big rig carrying 45,000 pounds of pigs crashed and overturned on westbound Interstate 80 near Colfax in Placer County overnight Tuesday, blocking both westbound lanes. Crews from CHP, Caltrans, Placer County Animal Services, Cal Fire and All-American Towing worked together to offload and corral the animals from the overturned trailer. Some of the pigs did not survive the crash, and the truck driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
