Pedestrian Hit Illinois Today in Illinois: A motorist who appeared to be changing a tire was struck and killed while outside their car on the shoulder of I-80 westbound at Torrence Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. Illinois State Police reported the fatal crash and asked for witnesses with dashcam footage to contact them. Major traffic delays were expected on I-80/94 into Chicago following the incident.
