Person rescued off roof of burning building in Brookville

Vehicle Fire Brookville Alabama in Brookville, Alabama: A three-alarm fire broke out at a home on Maple Street in Brookville, Jefferson County, on Wednesday afternoon, with dispatch called at approximately 12:31 p.m. One resident who was home became trapped and was rescued from the roof by members of the Brookville Municipal Authority using a backhoe bucket. The woman sustained minor injuries, the house was a total loss, and 11 cats died in the fire.
