Pedestrian Hit Wilmington Delaware in Wilmington, Delaware: A male pedestrian believed to be in his 30s was struck and killed by a dump truck along Maryland Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware, at approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rescue crews from the Five Points Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics performed life-saving measures but the man died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit responded and investigated the fatal crash, closing Maryland Avenue for approximately two and a half hours.
