Okanogan County Employee Killed In Landfill Accident

Car Crash Washington Today in Washington: A 73-year-old Okanogan County employee, Larry Fingar, was killed in a single-vehicle accident at the Okanogan County Landfill in the 200 block of B&O North Road south of Okanogan. Fingar was assisting Okanogan County Fire District No. 3 personnel with extinguishing a landfill fire that had rekindled from a previous blaze when the crash occurred early Tuesday. Emergency crews responded within minutes but Fingar was pronounced deceased at the scene after sustaining traumatic injuries. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the fatal incident.
