NTSB investigating deadly Tesla crash into Katy home

Car Crash Katy Texas in Katy, Texas: A Tesla Model 3 on autopilot was traveling east on Rose Hollow Lane near Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas, on the night of June 24, 2026, when it veered off the road and crashed into a brick home on Blooming Park Lane. Martha Avila, 76, who was inside the home, was struck by the vehicle, was airlifted to a hospital by Life Flight, and was pronounced dead from her injuries. The male Tesla driver was taken to a hospital by ambulance and showed no signs of intoxication. The NTSB, NHTSA, and Harris County Sheriff's Office have opened investigations into the crash.
