Northampton man sentenced for violent downtown assault
Assault Northampton Massachusetts in Northampton, Massachusetts: A 41-year-old Northampton man, Jessie Hosmer, was sentenced to state prison after a Hampshire Superior Court jury found him guilty of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury. Prosecutors said Hosmer and two other individuals assaulted a 27-year-old man in the parking lot at 256 Pleasant Street in Northampton, leaving the victim with significant facial injuries including a fractured jaw. The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for treatment. A co-defendant, 37-year-old Raymond Cordle of Springfield, previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months in the House of Correction.
