According to TMZ, he was in a Maryland barn attempting to jump-start a vehicle and called a family member asking for a fire extinguisher. An autopsy and toxicology report from the Maryland Chief Medical Examiner listed his cause of death as diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation, with fourth-degree burns, thermal fractures of the ankles, and 71 percent carbon monoxide in his blood. His death was ruled an accident.
