Summary

Car Crash Orange California in Orange, California: Paloma Fabiana Guadalupe Foster, 35, a UC Berkeley student from Fullerton, died in a crash on eastbound Interstate 580 near San Quentin at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday. She was a passenger in a Nissan Versa whose driver fell asleep, causing the car to strike the center median wall, then veer to the shoulder and crash into a hillside near the San Quentin exit. Foster died at a hospital. The 32-year-old Oakland driver and a 7-year-old boy in the back seat were not injured. CHP does not suspect intoxication and did not arrest the driver; the crash remains under investigation.
