Assault Warwick Rhode Island in Warwick, Rhode Island: On April 1 at 5:36 p.m., Andre Wilkinson, 47, of Warwick, RI, allegedly used a bat to assault a 53-year-old man and his son outside the Cumberland Farms at 87 West Natick Road after the older man confronted him about leering at an underage girl in line. A uniformed RI Corrections Officer, Dennis Ortiz, intervened, and Wilkinson drove away. Warwick Police later reviewed video footage and arrested Wilkinson on April 10, charging him with felony assault, disorderly conduct, and failure to register a change of address under the state's sex offender law.
