Bus Crash Brooklyn Center Minnesota in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: A 27-year-old Minneapolis man, Darshawn Cornelius Turner, is charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon after allegedly stabbing another man on a Metro Transit bus in Brooklyn Center on June 17. The fight began after Turner approached a woman the victim was talking to, and video captured Turner swinging at the victim's head and striking his left temple. The victim was transported to the hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to address a blood clot in his brain, and doctors indicated he will likely suffer permanent paralysis on at least half of his body. Turner admitted to police he stabbed the victim and said he was drunk at the time; he also had an active warrant related to another Brooklyn Center stabbing in 2025.
