Car Crash Portland Oregon in Portland, Oregon: A Portland city councilor introduced an ordinance that would allow the Portland Bureau of Transportation to evaluate its High Crash Network and prohibit right turns on red lights at some 200 intersections. The proposal cites a desire to reduce crash risk for vulnerable road users when cars roll through right turns on red. The ordinance was supported by Portland Public Works and, if passed, PBOT would have 90 days to develop an implementation plan.
