Hit And Run Wright City Georgia in Wright City, Georgia: A two-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 70 in Wright City on Thursday, June 24, 2026. The driver of one vehicle, Scottie Lee Winters, 35, of Hawk Point, fled the scene and hid in a motel room at the Super 7 Inn. He was later apprehended by the Wright City-Truesdale Crime Reduction Task Force and found to have a warrant from Harris County, Texas, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Winters was transferred to the Warren County Jail.
