Car Crash Independence Kentucky in Independence, Kentucky: An Independence man died after crashing his vehicle into a dirt embankment head-on in Kenton County late Tuesday night, according to the Kenton County Police Department. The crash happened at around 11:21 p.m. Tuesday near the former city of Visalia. Police said 42-year-old Joshua Thomas Rawe was driving a black Chevy Silverado on KY-536 (Visalia Road), crossed over the railroad crossing and drove across Decoursey Pike, then crashed into a dirt embankment head-on. Rawe was pronounced dead at the scene; police said there were no other people in the vehicle and no other vehicles involved in the crash.
