Car Crash South Charleston West Virginia in South Charleston, West Virginia: Jeffrey Simons, 63, of Wellsburg, Iowa, was driving a tractor-trailer westbound on the South Charleston-Dunbar I-64 bridge at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when the truck crashed and caught fire. Simons died at the scene. The driver of a second vehicle that struck the rear of the truck was not seriously injured, according to South Charleston police. A dog from the truck is being cared for by the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association until it can be reunited with Simons' family.
