Hit-and-run on Newport Highway kills pedestrian

Pedestrian Hit Washington Today in Washington: A 63-year-old driver struck a pedestrian with his car at 9200 North Newport Highway in Spokane, Washington at 4:15 a.m. on June 20 and fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian dead in the road. Four days later, Spokane Police posted pictures of the suspect car seeking the public's help. Later that same day, the driver turned himself in and admitted his involvement. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail for hit and run involving a fatality.
