Shooting Florida Today in Florida: Sgt. Quornelius Radford, an automated logistics sergeant assigned to A Company, 703rd Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, used a handgun to shoot at six fellow soldiers, hitting five, on Aug. 6, 2025, at Fort Stewart in Georgia. The shooting caused injuries but no deaths. Radford admitted to the shooting when initially interviewed by agents with the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division. He was found guilty of two specifications of attempted premeditated murder and four specifications of attempted unpremeditated murder, and was sentenced to six consecutive life sentences.
