Car Crash Indiana Today in Indiana: On June 24, 2026, at approximately 12:27 p.m., the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office received a report of a road rage incident on northbound U.S. Highway 41 near Boonville-New Harmony Road. The driver of a black Lexus, identified as Mary Elleman, 44, of Panama City, Florida, became involved in a dispute with the driver of a white GMC. During the encounter, the driver of the GMC allegedly displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot and kill the driver of the Lexus. Deputies located the suspect vehicle with the assistance of Flock Safety license plate reader technology, conducted a traffic stop, and took the driver into custody without incident, recovering a handgun believed to have been used during the incident.
