Family told guardrail can't be built around Lancaster home…

Car Crash Lancaster Pennsylvania in Lancaster, Pennsylvania: A vehicle traveling 86 mph in a 40-mph zone lost control, flipped, and crashed into a family's home along East 28th Division Highway in Elizabeth Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, sending debris into the living room. A piece of the vehicle's engine struck 1-year-old Savannah in the head while she was sitting in the area where the wreckage came to rest. The family has asked PennDOT and Elizabeth Township officials to install a guardrail, but PennDOT said state and federal guidelines do not allow guide rails solely to protect private property. Pennsylvania State Police data shows 64 crashes since 2020 along that stretch of Division Highway.
