Pedestrian Hit Springville Utah in Springville, Utah: On June 23, 2026, Travis Patrick McIntyre, 42, was driving his truck while pulling a trailer near 400 S and 40 E in Springville, Utah, when he left the roadway while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content more than six times the legal limit. Matthew Daines, who was walking with his wife on the road, pushed his wife out of the way and took the full brunt of the impact, and was pronounced dead despite life-saving measures. His wife sustained minor injuries. McIntyre pleaded guilty to automobile homicide and was sentenced to an indeterminate term of five to 15 years in Utah State Prison.
