Pedestrian Hit Newark New York in Newark, New York: On Saturday night, a 26-year-old driver slammed into two women as they crossed Park Avenue and North 7th Street in Newark. Surveillance video showed the driver of what appeared to be a red sedan kept going after the collision. Both women were pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver, David Zapata-Vera, surrendered to police on Tuesday and faces charges including vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a deadly crash.
