Car Crash Gardiner Maine in Gardiner, Maine: A Maine Department of Transportation worker was hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon after being struck by an SUV on Interstate 295 in Gardiner. Three DOT workers were removing tire debris from the roadway when a 57-year-old Lewiston man got out of a truck with amber warning lights on to remove debris near the right-hand fog line and was hit by a 2021 Cadillac SUV driven by a 39-year-old Gardiner woman. The worker was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The crash remains under investigation by Maine State Police.
