DPS Trooper involved in head-on crash near Alpine - Odessa…

Car Crash Texas Today in Texas: A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper was involved in a head-on crash along U.S. Highway 67, approximately five miles east of Alpine in Brewster County. The crash involved a DPS Chevrolet Tahoe and a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck. The driver of the GMC Sierra was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the DPS Trooper sustained serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to a hospital in El Paso. A DPS K-9 inside the patrol vehicle was not injured, and the crash remains under investigation by DPS.
