Dui Crash Derby Michigan in Derby, Michigan: A man driving drunk rear-ended a Chevrolet Cruze carrying two 17-year-olds on M-46 near Derby Road in Belvidere Township around 11:10 p.m. on a Thursday night. The teens' car spun into eastbound lanes of M-46, where it was struck by a pickup truck and T-boned by an SUV, killing both teens. The driver, 49-year-old Brian Nowicki, was found in a ditch with a bottle of Jim Beam whiskey in his waistband and admitted to causing the crash while performing field sobriety tests. Nowicki told police he had taken his mother's car to a casino in Mount Pleasant and drank about a fifth of whiskey before heading home.
