Crash injures Algona man on Hwy 60 in Blue Earth County

Semi Truck Crash Minnesota Today in Minnesota: A 25-year-old Algona, Iowa man was injured when his 2008 Chevrolet Impala collided with a 2017 Volvo semi-truck at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 60 in Blue Earth County on Tuesday around 3:55 p.m. The Impala, driven by Zachary Joseph Hauptmann, was southbound on Highway 60 attempting to continue south on 615th Avenue when it struck the eastbound semi driven by Gregory James Werner of Niagara, Wisconsin. Hauptmann suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to MCHS Mankato for treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not suspected as a factor.
