The Coast Guard received a mayday call at 9:36 p.m. and launched a response boat from Station Ignace at 10:22 p.m. The man sustained an injury and was hoisted by an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Traverse City, then taken to Munson Medical Center for emergency medical attention.
