Assault Charlotte North Carolina in Charlotte, North Carolina: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon at about 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Kelston Place at The Kelston, north of Albemarle Road in east Charlotte. The call appeared to be domestic-related, and the incident, which involved SWAT team members surrounding the apartments, ended at about 2 p.m. Police cleared the apartment and a nearby wood line but did not appear to find the person they were looking for.
