Carly Beatty's tragedy fuels TxDOT's sober driving campaign

Pedestrian Hit College Station Texas in College Station, Texas: Carly Beatty, a 19-year-old Texas A&M University student from Frisco, was walking home near campus on September 15, 2025, when she was struck and killed by a 17-year-old impaired driver. She had started her sophomore year just weeks earlier studying animal science. Her mother Sue is now sharing Carly's story as part of TxDOT's "Drive Sober. No Regrets" campaign to prevent impaired-driving deaths.
