Assault Austin Texas in Austin, Texas: Austin police responded to a 911 call around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday reporting a stabbing in the 2500 block of South Lamar Boulevard near its intersection with Bluebonnet Lane in south Austin. A woman was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A man with obvious penetrative trauma was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 12:16 a.m. after lifesaving measures by officers, EMS, and fire personnel. Police believe the two were the only people involved and that there was no notable relationship between them; no suspect is being sought.
