Bicycle Crash Albert Lea Minnesota in Albert Lea, Minnesota: A 14-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a pickup truck in Albert Lea on Tuesday, June 23. Police say a 17-year-old Albert Lea male driving a pickup truck northbound on Broadway Avenue South had stopped at the intersection of Broadway Avenue South and William Street when the 14-year-old bicyclist, traveling northbound alongside the truck, turned west onto William Street directly in front of the pickup without yielding the right-of-way. The truck struck the bicyclist, who sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Albert Lea Fire Rescue and Mayo Ambulance Service assisted at the scene, and the crash remains under investigation.
