Officers hospitalized after fatal Savannah shooting, GBI investigating
Summary
Shooting Savannah Georgia in Savannah, Georgia: Two Savannah Police Department officers on patrol stopped to question 35-year-old Nicholaus Oxendine near Bull Street and Victory Drive just after 7:15 a.m. Tuesday. During the questioning, Oxendine attacked one officer and then attempted to attack the other, and was shot and killed. Both officers were treated at an area hospital for minor injuries and later released. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident at Savannah police's request.
