Pedestrian Hit Gillette Kentucky in Gillette, Kentucky: A 16-year-old girl driving a Chevy Cruze struck a 15-year-old girl on an electric scooter at about 11 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 4J Road and Granite Street in Gillette. A 20-year-old woman had pressed the crosswalk button, but the 16-year-old driver was unable to stop in time and hit the scooter rider. The 15-year-old suffered head injuries and was transported to the hospital; the Chevy's windshield broke and the car had to be towed.
