Phoenix Fire transported her to a nearby hospital, where medical staff delivered the baby; both mother and child were pronounced deceased. The adult male driver of the same vehicle was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured. Detectives believe the driver of the first vehicle failed to stop for a red traffic signal and collided with the second vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Beardsley Road.
