Car Crash Texas Today in Texas: A 2016 Dodge Caravan traveling northbound on State Highway 6 crossed the center dividing line and struck a 2000 Freightliner Truck Tractor towing a semi-trailer head-on at the intersection of SH 6 and FM 1853 in Eastland County at 3:40 p.m. on Friday, June 19. The driver and passenger of the Dodge Caravan were pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Jesse Spear; the passenger was ejected after not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Freightliner, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Eastland Memorial Hospital with a minor injury. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the incident.
