Car Crash Bennington Kansas in Bennington, Kansas: Two people died after a crash Saturday in north-central Kansas involving a UTV and a car about 3 miles north of Bennington, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Russell Thornton said a UTV failed to stop at an intersection and drove into a car. Steven Hovey and Michelle Knight of rural Ottawa County were not buckled inside the UTV and were ejected. Knight was pronounced dead at the scene, and Hovey was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The driver of the car was not hurt.
