The SUV, a 2003 White GMC Yukon, was traveling southbound on Winchester Pike at Refugee Road when a 2019 Kenworth dump truck, moving northbound on Winchester Pike attempting to turn onto westbound Refugee Road, collided with it. The collision caused the GMC Yukon's vehicle body to detach from the frame. Columbus Division of Fire responded and pronounced the GMC Yukon driver dead at 2:45 p.m. The Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
