Car Crash Iowa Iowa in Iowa, Iowa: A head-on collision in Northeast Iowa on Sunday (06.21) night at about 7:30 PM left one driver dead and another seriously injured. The Iowa State Patrol says the wreck occurred on Highway 20, near the exit to highways 58 and 27, about a mile before the exit. A Nissan Rogue driven by 50-year-old Tracey Leytem of Cedar Rapids was eastbound on Highway 20 and crossed the center line for unknown reasons, striking a westbound Chevy Equinox driven by 23-year-old Abby Hamann of Grundy Center head-on. Leytem was transported with serious injuries to MercyOne Northeast Iowa in Waterloo, where she later died, and Hamann was taken to Mercy hospital and later flown to UI Health Care Medical Center in Iowa City.
