According to police, the motorcycle operator was traveling southbound on Hemingway Avenue through the intersection of Dodge Avenue when a pickup truck driver traveling northbound attempted to make a left turn onto Dodge Avenue. As the pickup truck began to turn, the motorcyclist collided with the front driver's side of the vehicle and was ejected. The motorcyclist was treated on scene by East Haven Fire Department medics and transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where they remained in the Intensive Care Unit as of Monday morning.
